Meet the Team - Bob Beatson

Joined Wentworth Pewter: 1969 when he was just 15 year’s old.

Role: Blending the marks and blemishes out of each piece.

The craft: As our products are handcrafted, buffing the metal after it’s been cast or spun into shape is really important. I blend in all the marks before each piece goes to one of our metalsmiths for soldering on other parts, to ensure a smooth working surface and to bring out the pewter’s distinctive sheen. It’s all part of producing a high-end product with a perfect finish.
